Rep. Antonio Announces $200,000 in Funding for Mentorship-driven Program

Bizdom Accelerator project will assist in launching technology ventures 

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) announced $200,000 in state funding for the Bizdom Accelerator project.  Bizdom has been operational in
Cleveland since 2012, and assists early-stage technology ventures. This
mentorship-driven program focuses on the professional development of new
entrepreneurs who have the ambition to launch scalable technology ventures.

“Using money to further the advancement of our up-and-coming workforce is always a wise investment,” said Rep. Antonio. “This project will help to raise
visibility and excitement about entrepreneurship in Ohio, which is vital to our
state’s economic growth.”

Bizdom will support 10 teams of entrepreneurs at $20,000 per team this summer. The program focuses on software and web opportunities in healthcare, consumer
finance, real estate, entertainment, sports, online marketing and gaming.
