Brad Presutto Running For Ward 2 Council Seat In Lakewood
The longtime Lakewood resident wants to make sure that diverse voices are being heard at Lakewood City Hall.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Brad Presutto will seek the Lakewood City Council Ward 2 seat this year. The longtime Lakewood resident said he wants to ensure the diverse voices that compose the city are represented and heard at City Hall.
"I want to make sure everyone in Lakewood is able to enjoy the same quality of life that my family has enjoyed," he told Patch.
Presutto is a job placement and recruitment expert and a parent of five children. He's part of the Hayes Elementary PTO, has delivered meals for the Lakewood Division of Aging, and has done work with a variety of local charities. With Sam O'Leary vacating his seat to run for mayor, Presutto feels the time is right to step up his engagement with the city.

"My involvement [with Lakewood groups] will make sure that I know the different perspectives of residents and can bring them to city council. While I have ideas that I want to bring to the table about sustainable growth, I’m there to represent Ward 2 and Lakewood," he said.

There are three issues closest to Presutto's heart: sustainable growth, preservation and promotion of green space, and ensuring Lakewood's walkability. He also talked about finding a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to Lakewood's aging sewer and water infrastructure problems, though that may fall under the category of sustainable municipal growth.
"I won a small election by listening to my neighbors. I'm going to use the same strategy. The time is right," Presutto told Patch over the phone.
Current Ward 2 City Councilperson Sam O'Leary announced his own campaign this month — a campaign to become mayor of Lakewood.
