Buzzfeed Calls Lakewood A Suburb From A 'Movie'
In an article where non-Americans described their experience in the U.S., Lakewood got a special shout out.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood, Ohio is a suburb straight out of a Hollywood film, according to a Buzzfeed article.
Last week, Buzzfeed ran a story about what American things shocked non-Americans when they came to the country. Sandwiched between quotes on the ubiquity of flags and the diversity of soda brands was a sweet, nostalgic note about Lakewood.
"That the suburban neighborhoods really did look like they had in all of my favorite childhood movies. I felt like a kid again riding my bicycle through Lakewood, Ohio. So cool," one non-American told Buzzfeed.

Lakewood has gained something of a national reputation as a suburb du jour. Tom Hanks and Stephen Colbert gave props to the city in July when Hanks, who spent years living in Northeast Ohio, hinted he had recently visited the suburb. Other celebrities, like Matthew McConaughey, made well-publicized stops in the city, even going bowling at Mahall's.
