Chamber, Businesses to Welcome Lakewood's Newest Educators
Lakewood Chamber of Commerce hosts the 61st Annual New Teacher Luncheon, one of the longest-running teacher welcome events in the region.

Teachers and school administrators who are new to Lakewood need to know where to dine out, buy a baby gift, get a haircut, take a yoga class, order a birthday cake, buy a winter coat, get a massage, take their dry cleaning, order flowers, buy classroom supplies, pick up a dozen donuts, get a car wash, and invest in a savings plan.
The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce is giving local businesses the opportunity to let Lakewood's 30 newest educators and administrators know where they can accomplish all of these tasks, and more, at the 61st Annual New Teacher Luncheon. To welcome new educators at St. Edward High School, Lakewood Catholic Academy, Lakewood Lutheran School and Lakewood City Schools, local businesses are donating promotional items and coupons to new teacher gift bags, donating door prizes, and "taking a teacher to lunch": treating a teacher to a delicious lunch from Italian Creations.
The 61st Annual Lakewood Chamber of Commerce New Teacher Luncheon will be held on Friday, August 11th at Garfield Middle School. If your business would like to participate in one of the longest-running new teacher welcome events in the region, please contact the Lakewood Chamber at 216-226-2900. Special thanks to Ohio Educational Credit Union, our 2017 New Teacher Luncheon sponsor.
