🌱 The Priciest Homes In Cuyahoga + Cleveland Bans Conversion Therapy
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Lakewood.
Hi all. It's me, Sean Peek, your host of the Daily. Let's get this day started off right with a quick dive into everything you need to know about what's happening these days in town.
But first, today's weather:
Breezy in the afternoon. High: 59 Low: 49.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Lakewood who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Lakewood Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:
- Cuyahoga homes are demanding heavy price tags this season. In September alone, 10 Cuyahoga houses were sold for at least $1.1 million each. One home went for $7 million — the highest purchasing price since 2018. For a complete list of the most expensive homes sold in Cuyahoga, visit the link. (cleveland.com)
- The Cleveland City Council voted to ban "conversion therapy" this week within the city limits. Conversion therapy, which is often used to force LGBTQIA minors to renounce their gender or sexuality, has been widely criticized as cruel and abusive by mental health experts. Cleveland will become the tenth city in the state to prohibit conversion therapy, joining Lakewood, Cincinnati, Toledo, Columbus, Dayton, Athens, Kent, Cleveland Heights, and Reynoldsburg. (Ohio Capital Journal)
- Textbook Painting, a popular Cleveland house and cabinet painting company, has won two major awards for its exemplary work. Textbook Painting beat out thousands of other contenders across the country to win the top place on the prestigious INC 5000 List, garnering the title of one of America's Fastest Growing Private Businesses. This is not the first accolade the company has won; it also earned the title of one of the top employers in Ohio. (Digital Journal)
