Cleveland Cop Charged With Sending Explicit Image To Teen
The officer has been suspended, Cleveland Police said. The alleged victim was a Rocky River resident.

CLEVELAND, OH -- A Cleveland police officer has been suspended after he was charged with sending explicit images to a teenage girl. He is also accused of making unauthorized use of a police computer, a fifth degree felony.
The allegations were made against Patrol Officer Thomas Tewell. He allegedly met a 17-year-old girl online, looked her up on a police computer, and then sent her an explicit image, Fox 8 reported.
Accusations against Tewell were first brought forward in February 2018. The accusations were made to Cleveland Police, who passed them along to Rocky River for investigation.

Tewell was placed on restricted duty, with no contact with the public, for the duration of the investigation, Cleveland Police said.
This isn't the first accusation of this nature against Tewell, cleveland.com reported. The officer was accused of sending a lewd image in 2014 to a woman he gave a traffic ticket to.
