Coffee With A Lakewood Cop Set For April 28
Residents will have an opportunity to meet the men who patrol their neighborhoods later this month.

LAKEWOOD, OH - The Lakewood Police Department is again hosting its Coffee with a Cop event on April 28 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Officers will be enjoying a cup o' joe at Panera Bread, 14701 Detroit Avenue.
During the event, attendees will be able to chat with officers about any topic they want. There is no set agenda for the event.
Participating officers do not provide free coffee for the event, but they will have tokens for attendees to take home with them. The city says they're hoping the event will strengthen the relationship between residents and the police.

The Coffee with a Cop event is part of a broader, national movement to humanize neighborhood police and deepen the connection between officers and the people they protect. Similar events have been held in other Northeast Ohio towns, including Solon and Cleveland Heights.
