Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- Seven-year-old Evie Solomon was chosen by the Lakewood Fire Department as this year's Color a Firetruck winner. More than forty young artists stopped by the Lakewood Observer table to color a firetruck for a chance to win a trip to the Lakewood Firehouse One. Evie's family and some of her friends will get a personal tour of the fire station and trucks. (The Lakewood Observer)
- Cleveland native Dave Gollinger is the author of the 123 CLE board book, a colorful children's book inspired by his home city. "I looked high and low, all over the internet, and I could not find a Cleveland counting book. So, I decided to make one myself," said Gollinger, who said he reads at least two books each day to his children, Ava and William. Each page of his board book contains a different number, color, and unique feature of the city. (Spectrum News)
- Highs in the upper 60s are expected for today, with winds out of the north making it a rough day for boaters. Expect waves on the lake up to 7 feet, with wind gusts out of the north up to 30 mph. Overnight temperatures will be cooler in the low 50s and upper 40s, and highs on Father's Day will be around 70 with sunshine. (Cleveland 19 News)
