Committees Holding Public Meetings In Lakewood
The Rules & Ordinances Committee and the Finance Committee will both hold open meetings in Lakewood City Hall.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Two Lakewood committees are set to meet in coming weeks. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held at Lakewood City Hall.
The Rules & Ordinances Committee will meet Monday, October 21 at 6 p.m. in the east conference room of Lakewood City Hall. The committee will approve the minutes of their previous meeting, discuss an ordinance on public records access and dog registration requirements. The language of the proposed ordinance is below:
ORDINANCE 16-19 - AN ORDINANCE enacting new Chapter 110, Access Public Records, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to create transparency and timely easy-of-access to public records and set requirements for the city’s online public records request system. (Placed on 1st reading and referred to Rules & Ordinances Committee 5/20/19; 2nd reading 6/3/19)
The Finance Committee will meet in the east conference room of Lakewood City Hall on October 21 at 7 p.m., following the Rules & Ordinances Committee. The agenda for that meeting is as follows:

ORDINANCE 50-18B - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, amending Ordinance 50-18A adopted May 20, 2019, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2019 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law.
