Community Conversation On Opiates Coming To Lakewood
LifeBanc, Lakewood United Methodist Church, and the City of Lakewood are hosting a forum on life after the loss of a loved one to opiates.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A community conversation on life after the loss of a loved one to opiates will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Lakewood United Methodist Church will host the event, as families of overdose victims share their personal stories.
The event, officially called Hope After Loss: Finding Healing and Purpose After Loss of a Loved One to Opiate Addiction, is being hosted by LifeBanc, Lakewood United Methodist Church, and the city of Lakewood. The forum is expected to last about two hours.
Attendees will be able to hear stories from families whose loved one died, but their organs were donated to help others. Those families will talk about how their loved one's donation helped them redefine their legacy. There will be discussion on how to sign-up for the organ donation program and how it works in Northeast Ohio.

There will also be a discussion of the grief process and how families can begin to heal after a loss.
