Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:
- Yesterday marked the 14th Annual Cops Ride at the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial. An estimated 300 motorcyclists, surrounded by members of the community, came out to honor ten Ohio officers who died in the line of duty in 2021. The procession began at West 3rd and Lakeside, traveling west through Lakewood and multiple cities in the greater Cleveland area. (Fox 8 News)
- Have you been enjoying this summer's Concert in the Park series? There are just two left this season! Ernie Krivda & The Fat Tuesday Big Band will play at the Lakewood Park Bandstand on Aug. 7 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The following week, Aug. 14, the Lakewood Hometown Band will perform at the bandstand from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (City of Lakewood)
- The City of Lakewood invites the community to its next Friday Night Flick. Head over to the Lakewood Park Bandstand at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 for a showing of Soul — don't forget your blankets and lawn chairs! If you can't make it this Friday, the next event in the series will be on Aug. 19 at Madison Park for a viewing of Sing 2. (City of Lakewood)
