Coronavirus In Lakewood: Latest Data On COVID-19 Cases

LAKEWOOD, OH — Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been between 425 and 595 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lakewood.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health said it confirmed fewer new COVID-19 cases last week among residents than it did the week before, continuing a gradual decline new cases. However, Cuyahoga is still classified as a "red" county by the state because of its high-rate of COVID-19 spread locally.

Cuyahoga County now has 101.8 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 residents. That's down from 108.1 cases per 100,000 residents last week, the state health department confirmed. Last week, the Ohio Department of Health said Cuyahoga County has the 14th highest rate of COVID-19 spread among Ohio's 88 counties.

There are currently 1,257 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cuyahoga County, the Ohio Department of Health said. It's unclear how many of those cases may be among Lakewood residents.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health does weekly reports looking at COVID-19 cases by ZIP code. The 44107 ZIP code, associated with Lakewood, has been one of the hardest hit areas in the county for COVID-19 spread.
