🌱 Council Explores Location Of Dispatch + Temperatures In 90s Today
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Lakewood.
Hello again, neighbors! I'm back in your inbox this warm summer morning with your fresh edition of the Lakewood Daily, fresh off the presses. Let's get this day started off right, with a quick review of the most important things going on around town.
First, today's weather:
Mostly sunny and hot. High: 92 Low: 78.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Lakewood who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Lakewood Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:
- The Lakewood City Council is currently exploring the future location of Lakewood's dispatch services in response to Ohio's communication center consolidation requirement. Lakewood safety force chiefs are weighing in on the issue that could lead to the city joining a communication center like Chagrin Valley Dispatch. "We would like to maintain our own dispatch center in Lakewood, period," said Lakewood Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck. (cleveland.com)
- A massive area of hot weather is expected to move into our vicinity tomorrow. Afternoon temperatures will soar to the low to mid-90s. A cold front will track through on Wednesday. (Cleveland 19)
- The United States Marshals Service announced a reward on Monday for information leading to the capture of fugitive 57-year-old Joe Womack of Cleveland. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force said Womack violated his parole for an aggravated robbery conviction and then fled a halfway house. (Cleveland 19)
