Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- Cuyahoga County Council members have sought radically different methods for deciding how to spend millions of stimulus dollars in their districts. Some members are gathering ideas through an open application process, while others are deferring to suggestions from local mayors. The varying methods are a result of the County's controversial decision to set aside $6 million for each of the county's 11 districts. (Cleveland.com)
- Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb showed off the West Side Market to Ohio mayors and political leaders on Monday, praising legislators for investing in the historic facility. Bibb toured the market with members of the Ohio Mayors Alliance and state legislators. The Cleveland Mayor thanked state lawmakers for supporting efforts to improve and preserve the market.
