Crossing Guards Needed In Lakewood

Lakewood is looking for adults to help shepherd students to school throughout the coming year.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Crossing guards are needed to protect Lakewood students during the coming school year. The city is hoping to add part-time guards before schools resumes.

Crossing guards in Lakewood work about two hours a day and make $13.53 an hour. Applicants must be at least 18 and must be able to work in inclement weather. Crossing guards also have to move frequently during their work.

“School Crossing Guards play an important role in keeping our students safe,” said Lakewood Police's Lt. Roger Warner. “We are looking to forward to working with committed individuals that will enjoy the opportunity to interact with Lakewood’s young people.”
