Crossing Guards Still Needed In Lakewood
The school year is in full swing but the city still needs more crossing guards to help get students safely to class.
LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood put out a second call for crossing guards this week. Crossing guards help shepherd students safely to school and play a vital role in keeping kids safe in a walking community like Lakewood.
“School Crossing Guards play an important role in keeping our students safe,” said Lakewood Police Lt. Roger Warner. “We are looking to forward to working with committed individuals that will enjoy the opportunity to interact with Lakewood’s young people.”
Crossing guards in Lakewood work about two hours a day and make $15 an hour. Applicants must be at least 18 and must be able to work in inclement weather. Crossing guards also have to move frequently during their work.
