Crews had been looking for a suspect that ran from police and reportedly fell into the river.

ROCKY RIVER, OH — Law enforcement have pulled a dead body out of Rocky River, according to Fox 8. Authorities have identified the man as 43-year-old Terrence P. Hopkins. Hopkins was wanted by Rocky River Police and led them on a foot chase Saturday before jumping over a fence in the MetroParks and disappearing.

Multiple police and fire departments coordinated to search for Hopkins' body. The body was found Saturday at about 12:30 p.m. near the boat ramps in Rocky River Reservation, cleveland.com reported. Divers pulled the body from the river.

The pursuit started Saturday when a Rocky River cop spotted Hopkins outside of an apartment complex. Hopkins reportedly confirmed his identity when talking with police but then took off running, Fox 8 says.
