Dog Dies In Lakewood House Fire
A house fire on Warren Road is being investigated by the Lakewood Fire Department.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A house fire broke out at a home on Warren Road on Monday. While firefighters were able to quickly contain the flames, the blaze claimed the life of one dog who was found inside the house.
The fire was first reported at 2:20 p.m., according to Lakewood Fire Marshal Ryan Fairbanks. Callers said there were smoke and flames coming from a home in the 1500 block of Warren Road.
A crew of 20 firefighters battled the fire for 90 minutes, which Fairbanks described as a short period of time to contain a fire. Teams also searched the home and rescued two cats and one dog from inside.

The animals were taken by ambulance to the Lakewood Animal Hospital on Madison Avenue. The dog died, Fairbanks said.
Crews are still investigating what caused the fire.
