Mindy Smith in Concert

Before releasing her debut album, One Moment More, Mindy Smith had already performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She appeared with a list of superstars on the Lifetime Network’s Women Rock special. She had a video in top rotation on CMT...

...And she had the lead-off single on the acclaimed Dolly Parton tribute album, Just Because I’m a Woman, a cover of Parton's classic "Jolene." Dolly Parton added backing vocals to a new mix of the song, which was then featured on Smith's debut album. The pair also performed the song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"Come to Jesus" was Smith's second single and biggest hit, receiving airplay on country music, Christian, AAA and adult contemporary radio. The song charted at #32 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart.

At the famed music conference South by Southwest (SXSW) in 2003, Lee Ann Womack invited Mindy to perform "Come to Jesus," after singing harmonies during Womack's set. In 2004, Smith won the Americana Music Association "Best New / Emerging Artist of the Year," and appeared at the Cambridge Folk Festival.

Mindy Smith's music can be classified as all of the following: folk, country, Americana, bluegrass, pop, rock, and even alternative. Her voice and music have been compared to that of Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Norah Jones, and Alison Krauss. Mindy will be performing solo at this show. www.mindysmith.net
