Songwriter's Circle: Alex Bevan, Fernando Perdomo, Jerry (Channing) Allen, Jim Schafer, Jason Patrick Meyers

This show will feature five songwriters in an "in-the-round" format. Each will perform his original songs and give stories and background on the songs.

Alex Bevan was first known as the "Skinny Little Boy" from Cleveland, Ohio who came to "chase your wimmin' and drink your beer." As a folk artist, Alex practices storytelling in the acoustic tradition, weaving intricate and singable melodies with words that fill the inner reaches of the heart and mind. He is truly Ohio's "Great Lakes Bard."

Fernando Perdomo is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, touring and session musician, producer, engineer and founding member of the Forward Motion Records band Dreaming In Stereo. He has worked with Christian Castro, Soraya, Hilary Mcrae, Jorge Moreno, Paulina Rubio, legendary 70s music icon Andy Pratt (of Avenging Annie fame). In 2010, Fernando produced the debut album "Spread The Word" for The Sunrise, which was applaued by Christianity Today Magazine.

Jerry Allen recorded several releases on the MGM Record Label under the name Jerry Channing. His international release "Little Girl In The Magazine" was recorded in Japanese in the late 1960's. A singer / songwriter and guitarist, Jerry's recordings can still be heard on radio stations around the USA and overseas.

Jim Schafer is a singer-songwriter-guitarist based in Lakewood, Ohio. His music mixes active acoustic guitar work with a voice known for its clarity, sensitivity, and unique style. An accomplished songwriter, Schafer's songs are known for melodic balance, lyrical insight and frequent humor.

Jason Patrick Myers is a homegrown Cleveland, Ohioan. A country and Americana singer / songwriter, He cites his influences as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mahalia Jackson, Eric Clapton. Jason's songs connect with a wide range of people, while his lyrics draw the listener in and give them something worth holding on to.
