LAKEWOOD, OH — The city's Fire Department will host the Fallen Firefighter Memorial on Sunday. The event is open to the public and all on-duty Lakewood fire personnel will gather, in their fire apparatus, at the event.
The Memorial will be hosted in-front of Lakewood Fire Station No. 1, 14601 Madison Avenue. The event will start at noon and honor fallen firefighters and serve as a kick-off for National Fire Prevention Week.
Besides the on-duty fire personnel, local city officials are also expected to attend the brief ceremony. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, as well.
