Fifth Third Bank In Lakewood Robbed

A lone male suspect hit the Madison Avenue bank on Wednesday, getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.

LAKEWOOD, OH - A lone male suspect robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 14800 Madison Avenue on Wednesday. Police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect and releasing photos from the incident.

The suspect entered the bank and handed a demand note to a teller. The teller handed the man cash. The FBI is not disclosing the amount of money the suspect got away with. No weapon was seen during the incident and no one was hurt.

The suspect is described a 35 to 40 year old black male, standing approximately 6'1 or 6'2, and weighing about 220 pounds. He was wearing dark aviator sunglasses and a black baseball cap during the robbery.

The FBI says there is no information about his getaway.

The suspect is believed to be connected to two other recent bank robberies, including Key Bank on Fulton Avenue on April 27 and Ohio Savings Bank on W. 25th on May 2nd.

Tips can be provided to the Cleveland FBI Cleveland Police Department, Lakewood Police Department or Crimestoppers. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible. Tips can remain anonymous.
