Finance, Public Safety Committees Holding Meetings In Lakewood
The two committees will meet on September 3 in the East Conference Room at Lakewood City Hall.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Two committees will hold public meetings in Lakewood next week, the finance committee and public safety committee. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held September 3 in the East Conference Room at Lakewood City Hall.
During the finance committee meeting (which starts at 5:30 p.m.), members will discuss the city's mid-year revenue report, the 2020 Council Budget priority process and the 2020 Council Office budget. The committee will also approve the minutes of its June 24 meeting and discuss the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE 21-19 – AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the transfer and advance of certain funds. During the public safety committee meeting (which starts at 7 p.m.), members will approve the minutes from the July 15 meeting and discuss the following ordinance:

ORDINANCE 05-19 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect at the earliest period allowed by law enacting Section 331.346, Using Mobile Telephones while Driving, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood in order to update the Code so as to regulate the use of mobile phones while driving in the City.
