LAKEWOOD, OH — On Friday morning, Lakewood firefighters battled a structure fire on Brown Road. No one was injured during the blaze.

The fire happened at an apartment building on Brown Road at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The blaze started inside an unoccupied third floor apartment.

Lakewood Police Chief Tim Dunphy told Patch the fire appears to have started because a heating unit was too close to combustible material and ignited.
