FireSide CLE to Heat Up Virtual Front Porch Concert Series July 3

Virtual Performance Starts at 7 p.m. on LakewoodAlive’s Facebook Page

They gathered around a bonfire one summer evening to enjoy good company and the soothing crackle of flames. Little did they know the experience would ultimately result in FireSide CLE – the fun-loving band performing at LakewoodAlive’s Virtual Front Porch Concert Series next Friday, July 3.

Sponsored by Bentley Wealth Management of Raymond James, the 2020 Front Porch Concert Series features eight musical performances hosted virtually via LakewoodAlive’s Facebook page on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. The series, which aims to foster Lakewood’s vibrancy while offering a safe, family-friendly entertainment option, runs through August 21.

Week 1 brings to the stage FireSide CLE, a high-energy band of veteran musicians who have amassed a large following by playing rock tunes spanning five decades with their own unique interpretations. This Lakewood-based band consists of John Levis (Vocals/Guitar), Tom Leatherman (Vocals/Keyboards), Frank Restifo (Vocals/Electric Guitar/Sax), Sammy Free (Vocals/Bass) and Frank Musarra (Drums).

FireSide – both the name and the band – originated when a group of dads played instruments around a campfire while camping with their children and the YMCA Adventure Guides. The group enjoyed playing together and FireSide was born. The band offers fun, unique musical renditions while covering a wide variety of classic rock artists, including Crosby, Stills & Nash, Simon & Garfunkel and The Beatles.

Now in its 10th year, the popular music series is taking on a different format to ensure health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, yet LakewoodAlive remains committed to enhancing Lakewood’s sense of community by offering free weekly concerts that families and all music lovers can enjoy.
