🌱 Five Minors Arrested For Robbery + Workers Encouraged Back Downtown

Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:

  1. Lakewood police arrested five minors for assaulting a woman and taking her purse before running off. The robbery took place in the 14500 block of Madison Avenue. The assailants were caught within 90 minutes of the incident. (News 5 Cleveland)
  2. Calling all Lakewood residents who work for Cleveland employers: Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) and several large employers are working together to encourage workers to come back to their downtown offices. DCA launched Downtown Dollars, a new electronic gift card that incentivizes spending money downtown. Various weekday events are also planned, including Music on the Malls, a weekly live music and happy hour event on Mall C. (Cleveland 19 News)

  • Church of Redeemer in Westlake and Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights are two of the many churches throughout Ohio paying tribute to the victims of the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Texas by setting up empty chairs for each individual killed. Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights posted this message on Facebook: "Thoughts and prayers are a good place to begin, but we must not stop there." (Cleveland 19)
