Food Network To Feature Lakewood Chef On TV Show

LAKEWOOD, OH — Food Network faithful from Lakewood may notice a familiar face on their TV screens next weekend. That's because Salt founder, Chef Jill Vedaa, will be appearing on an episode of "Guy’s Grocery Games" on April 15.

Details on Vedaa's appearance are scarce and the restaurant isn't keen on sinking ships with loose lips. Still, they did confirm Vedaa will appear April 15 on Guy's Grocery Games.

Here's what else we do know. Guy's Grocery Games is a competition show hosted by Guy Fieri. Four chefs are run through elimination challenges that are designed to test their culinary skills.

"The chefs are hit by real-world challenges like finding workarounds when all the essential ingredients are suddenly "out-of-stock" or having to create a masterpiece when you can only cook with "5 items or less" or on a $10 budget," according to the Food Network website.

The chefs work is evaluated by guest judges. The winning judge then has to do a grocery store run with a list of items. If they get every item on the list, it's worth $20,000.

The show will be airing April 15 at 8 p.m.
