Football practice or Character building?

Coaching football is really teaching life lessons in disguise of sports. Those physical and mental struggles that student athletes face while playing the game (any game) will build human virtues in a visceral manner that cannot be taught cerebrally in a classroom. Virtues like self-discipline, effort, patience, sportsmanship, respect and character all go a long way. One can't put monetary values on these things. They are essentially larger than life. These boys are becoming young men every day they partake in their practices.
