Give Blood To Honor Lakewood 8th Grade Student With Leukemia

The family of the student is encouraging others to give blood to help children with cancer.

LAKEWOOD, OH - Garfield Middle School will hold a blood drive in honor of one of its students, 8th grader Jeremy Steinbrick, and all children fighting cancer on March 6 from 3 to 7 p.m.

In July 2016, Jeremy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a form of childhood leukemia. He has had 21 life-saving blood transfusions since his diagnosis, and to honor his life and give back, his family and the school are rallying people to give blood.

Appointments are STRONGLY encouraged and will get you in and out faster. Please make an appointment at www.redcross.org with the sponsor code Garfield Middle School. If you do not have an appointment, you will still be able to give blood.
