Gun Fired Into Air During Fight In Lakewood
Police said a man pulled out a handgun and fired it into the air during an incident in Lakewood on Saturday.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A man fired a handgun into the air during a fight in Lakewood on Saturday night, Police Chief Tim Malley announced. Two people were taken into custody after the gun was fired.
"We are grateful to the Lakewood Police Department for their work quickly resolving the situation and keeping us safe," the city of Lakewood said on social media.
According to a note shared by the police chief on social media, the incident started at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. A small group of people were gathered on Robinwood Avenue when a fight broke out.

During the scuffle, one of the fighters pulled out a handgun and shot it into the air. No one was injured, Malley said.
Officers arrived and took one man into custody for discharging a firearm and took one woman into custody for obstructing official business. Lakewood Police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for more information on the incident.
