Gunpoint Carjacking In Lakewood Over The Weekend

Another carjacking happened Saturday night in Lakewood, police said.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Police are investigating another carjacking. This one happened Saturday night when a man was ordered to hand over his car keys by two men with a gun.

The incident took place near the corner of Detroit Avenue and Matthews Avenue, according to News 5. That's not far from one of Lakewood's most popular dining and entertainment districts.

The victim was walking to a local bar when the two men came towards him with a gun. They demanded his car keys, then stole his car and drove off.

Rocky River Police actually spotted the stolen car later that night and chased it for awhile. Eventually the pursuit became dangerous and was terminated.
