Healthy Lakewood Foundation Holds 1st Community Meeting
Attendees had the chance to talk about what health initiatives they want to see pursued and supported in Lakewood.
LAKEWOOD, OH — More than 50 Lakewood residents took part in Healthy Lakewood Foundation's first community meeting. The event included a recap of HLF's first year in operation and the organization's ongoing work to develop Lakewood specific health initiatives.
The meeting was held at the Women's Pavilion at Lakewood Park on September 24. This was HLF's first community meeting after the group was established in September 2018. The HLF was formed following the closing of Lakewood Hospital and are stewards of $32.4 million in assets that will eventually be available to support health and wellness activities in Lakewood.
During the first community meetings, attendees were invited to take part in facilitated table discussions. The conversations gave residents the chance to share their stories and give insight into what issues they would support for a healthier Lakewood.
