Here's St. Ed's Path Through Div. I Basketball Playoffs
The Lakewood-based Catholic School is the number one ranked seed in its district.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The St. Edward Eagles are the number one seed in the Strongsville district heading into the Division I basketball playoffs. The team shared its bracket setup via Twitter, saying it would start postseason action on March 3.
The team's first game will be at 7 p.m. at St. Ed's. The Eagles will play the winner of Parma versus Rhodes. The district championship game would be played March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Wolstein Center.
St. Ed's just missed being ranked in the AP Division I top 10 rankings on Feb. 5, getting 16 votes to land on the list. MaxPreps has the team ranked fifth in the state though.

The Eagles have had a strong season, trotting out to a 16-3 record. The team recently dismantled its rival, St. Ignatius, by a score of 85-67.
St. Ed's losses on the season came in a tournament in California to Mission Bay (San Diego) and Archbishop Stepinac (New York). A third loss came in Toledo to St. John's Jesuit.

The Eagles have games against Solon, Cleveland Central Catholic and John Hay remaining on the schedule. The undefeated Solon Comets are currently number one in cleveland.com's rankings.
