WATCH: Hillary Clinton's Pokemon Go Event Catches Registered Voters in Lakewood, Ohio

Hillary Clinton campaign volunteers took advantage of the Pokemon PokeStop at Madison Park in Lakewood, Ohio to register voters.

Pokemon enthusiasts turned out at Madison Park Saturday afternoon to catch Pokemon characters playing the hot new game, Pokemon Go. Hillary Clinton volunteers and staffers were also there to "catch" their voter registrations.

After the launch of Pokemon Go last Thursday, organizers innovated and used the app to find other players to register them to vote. Volunteers told Patch that Saturday's event "was successful."

One Pokemon Go player commented that Madison Park was "full of characters." Characters are often found in wide open spaces such as parks and around landmarks such as churches.
