Holiday Trash Collection In Lakewood: Changes In Pick-Up Schedule

LAKEWOOD, OH — Christmas and New Year's Day will impact the trash and recycling collection schedule in Lakewood.

While Christmas falls on a Saturday in 2021, Christmas Eve will land on Friday, Dec. 24, and will lead to a series of changes in trash pick-up.

Here's the refuse collection schedule for the week of Christmas:

• If your trash is collected Monday, you will not be impacted.
• If your trash is collected Tuesday, you need to have your trash ready for collection by 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
• If you trash is collected Wednesday, you need to have your trash ready for collection by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
• If you trash is collected Thursday, you need to have your trash ready for collection by 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
• If you trash is collected Friday, you need to have your trash ready for collection by 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.

New Year's Day will also lead to collection changes in Lakewood. Here's the schedule for that week:

• If your trash is collected Monday, you will not be impacted.
