Here are the top three stories in Lakewood today:

  1. Homestead Theatre Block in Lakewood has been allocated $5 million for rehabilitation. The funds come from $40 million in state historic tax credits, to be spread throughout 38 properties in 16 counties. Homestead Theatre Block was one of four endeavors across the Buckeye State to receive the per-project maximum of $5 million. (Novogradac)
  2. Today marks the 45th annual Lakewood Arts Festival! The festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. at the corner of Detroit and Arthur Avenues. The free event features the works of local and national artists, plus plenty of live music for guests to enjoy. (News 5 Cleveland WEWS)
  3. Need some help in the job search? Each Monday, a representative from OhioMeansJobs Cleveland-Cuyahoga County will be at the Lakewood Public Library to help.
