How To Dispose Of Christmas Trees In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, OH — With the holidays in the rear view, Americans have begun the melancholy job of taking down decorations and stowing them for 12 months. However, there is one major decoration which cannot be stored.

Live Christmas trees need to be thrown out. In Lakewood, residents can place their firs on the tree lawn for pick-up. Trees should be stripped of all decorations and should not be placed in bags.

Crews will collect Christmas trees through the end of January, a Lakewood city official told Patch.

Artificial Christmas trees should be placed in the regular trash.
