Jeff Wise Announces Campaign For Lakewood Ward 3 Council Seat

A realtor and former legislative aide announced his campaign for city council this week.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Jeff Wise will seek the Lakewood City Council Ward 3 position, he announced this week.

“I’m running for Lakewood City Council because our city is at a crossroads and residents deserve a choice at the ballot box,” said Wise.

Wise a realtor and former legislative aide in the Ohio Statehouse said his priorities as a councilperson would include reversing heavy job losses in Ward 3, streetscape and infrastructure improvements and sustainability initiatives, like tree canopy preservation.

Preserving Lakewood's affordable housing stock and array of residential options was another key, Wise said.

“The key to prosperous neighborhoods is a diversity of housing styles and prices, to serve residents at all stages of life, particularly senior citizens who wish to ‘age in place,’” he said. “Proposed developments must be responsible, historically appropriate and respect the feedback of neighboring residents.”
