LAKEWOOD, OH — An Uber driver pulled a knife on a pair of Lakewood residents on early Sunday morning. A man and woman that had been riding in the car upset the driver by slamming his car door and then telling him his car smelled like smoke (after some other words had been exchanged), the man then pulled out a knife and threatened to get a gun.
The incident took place at about 12:40 a.m. That's when the woman called police and described the incident, saying she was worried the driver knew where she lived, according to the Lakewood Police call log.
The man and woman were apparently upset about the quality of the ride, so when they exited the woman slammed her door. The driver then made a loud comment about the woman, prompting her to re-open the door and tell him his car smelled like smoke, before slamming the door again.
