Labor Day 2017: What's Closed In Lakewood?
Trash collection will be delayed by a day for some residents. What else will be impacted by the holiday?

LAKEWOOD, OH — Labor Day is Sept. 4 and nearly all city-run property will be closed in observation of the holiday. All city departments and Lakewood Municipal Court will be closed Monday. The city's refuse and recycling department will also be closed, meaning residents should expect a delay in trash collection.
"People who usually have their trash picked up on Monday should put their trash out by 6:00 AM on Tuesday. Everyone else should have their trash and recycling out on their regular day and it will be picked up that day or the next," a spokesperson for the city told Patch.
The closure of city offices for Labor Day will also delay the Lakewood City Council meeting by one day. The regular Monday meeting will instead be held Tuesday. (Subscribe to the Patch Lakewood newsletter for local news and updates.)
