Lakewood 7-11 Robbed By Man Wearing Blue Face Paint

The suspect pulled out a large kitchen knife and pointed it at a cashier before stealing a roll of quarters.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Police are searching for a man that painted his face blue and robbed a local convenience store on Sunday morning. The suspect was wielding a large kitchen knife and stole a roll of quarters from a cashier.

The robbery took place at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. The suspect came into the 7-11 on Hilliard Boulevard and bought something. When the cashier opened the register, the suspect pulled out the knife. He pointed the weapon at the cashier, causing the cashier to back-up.

The suspect then reached into the open register. Nothing initially appeared to be missing, but police say a roll of quarters was stolen.

The suspect ran out of the store. He went north on Hilliard and cut through the parking lot of Primary Eye Center, 16400 Hilliard.

The cashier says the suspect may have come into the store on Saturday night, wearing a tan jacket.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 5'7 and 5'8 tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing blue paint on his face, a blue puffy jacket, a knit hat and dark pants.

The cashier told the store's owner about the incident at 7:30 a.m. Police were then called to the scene.
