Lakewood Auctioning Playground Equipment

Bids are now open on playground equipment from Wagar Park.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Slides, swings and other playground equipment from Wagar Park are being auctioned by the city of Lakewood. The auction is being held online and bidding is now open.

Over the summer, city officials announced a $1 million overhaul for the park, located at the intersection of Hilliard, Rosewood and Madison. As part of the overhaul, the city will get all new playground equipment.

The current playground sets will be auctioned through GovDeals.com. The auction for the equipment will end Dec. 17.

City officials recommend visiting the park and seeing the equipment before placing bids. The equipment available for purchase includes multiple slide sets, a swing set and different sets for children.
