Lakewood Bank Robbed On Wednesday Afternoon
For the second time in three months, the Fifth-Third Bank on W. 117th was robbed.
LAKEWOOD, OH — For the second in three months, the Fifth-Third Bank on W. 117th Street was robbed. This time an unknown man passed a demand note to a teller and then ran out of the bank on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the suspect was a man in his late 20s, he was about 6 feet tall, with black hair and a black goatee. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, with a red square on the back, and a tan hat with a Nike logo on it.
The man came into the bank at about 3:20 p.m. He handed a teller a note demanding cash and then ran out of the bank. He was seen leaving the area on foot, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 216-521-6773.
Fifth-Third on W. 117th was robbed August 2 this year. In that case, a lone man came into the bank with a brown paper bag and demanded tellers fill the bag with cash. Police tracked down the suspect the day of the robbery and took him into custody.
