Lakewood Bank Robbery: Suspect Still At-Large

The FBI and local police are asking the public for help in finding the suspect that robbed Dollar Bank on Dec. 11.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Law enforcement are still searching for a man that robbed Dollar Bank on Dec. 11. The suspect robbed the bank by handing over a note to a teller that said he had a weapon and to give him money. No one was hurt during the incident.

The FBI said it has received few tips in regards to the incident and is again asking the public for help in identifying the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male standing about 5'5" tall and "skinny."

This year has seen an increase in the number of bank robberies versus 2016, the FBI said. There have already been 90 robberies in Cuyahoga County this year, compare that to 2016 when there were 74 robberies or 2015 when there were 46.

Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individuals responsible for any of these robberies.
