Lakewood Businesses To Receive Awards

LAKEWOOD, OH — Local businesses will be recognized during the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce's annual Award Luncheon on June 22. The event will be held at Vosh.

The Chamber's outstanding new member award will go to Carol Lynn Barrett, the owner and founder of Carol Lynn's Solon Plus. Barrett has been part of the Lakewood community for more than three decades. Her salon, on Madison Avenue, has been in business for 11 years, and she has been doing hair in the city for 31 years.

The Chamber's Business Person of the Year will go to Mike DeStefano, the principal of DMS Management Solutions. "Mike is a dedicated business leader and has been an active member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce since 2009. Mike started DMS in Lakewood 14 years ago and assists small businesses by providing accounting, tax, and bookkeeping services," the Chamber said in an email.

DMS Management has been named a Weatherhead 100 award winner for two straight years and has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce will honor its Past Presidents, long-term members, and the 2018 award recipients at their Annual Awards Luncheon on June 22nd at Vosh Lakewood. Read more about the event and this year’s awards recipients at www.lakewoodchamber.org.
