Lakewood High Schools Girls Basketball In District Championship

The team upset Magnificat in the last round of play and now advances to play Medina for the District Championship.

LAKEWOOD, OH - The Lakewood Varsity Girls Basketball team has advanced to the district championship. The team will take on Medina High School on March 2 at 7 p.m. The game will be played at Valley Forge High School.

The Rangers finished the regular season with a 17-7 regular season record and a 12-6 record. Lakewood defeated Magnificat High School in the last round on Feb. 27, winning by a score of 47-36. In that game, Saher Hamdan recorded 16 points to lead the team in scoring. Olivia Nagy was the second leading scorer with 10 points.

The team is coached by Mike Harper. For those that want to attend the game, Valley Forge High School is located at 9999 Independence Blvd, Parma Heights.
