Lakewood Library Gets $10,000 Grant For 'Tech Boost'
Cox Communications is awarding its first-ever technology grant to the Madison branch of the Lakewood Library.

LAKEWOOD, OH β The Madison branch of the Lakewood Library has been awarded a $10,000 "Tech Boost" grant through Cox Communications. This is the first time the company has doled out the grant.
βWhen you consider the larger-than-life role organizations like the Lakewood Public Libraryβs Madison branch play in the lives of Lakewoodβs youth, itβs incredible how important it is to have them in our communities,β said Jay Allbaugh, senior vice president and region manager, Cox Communications. βWeβre extremely proud to announce our Cox Tech Boosts, and excited to see how our community partners use these grants to grow their impact on the children and families in their reach.β
Cox Communications actually awarded four $10,000 grants to organizations around the U.S. The library, along with three other U.S. organizations, will use its funding to purchase various pieces of technology, from 3D printers to Chromebooks. Representatives of Lakewood's municipal government, along with Cox executives, will take part in a Tuesday afternoon ceremony celebrating the awarding of the grant.
