Lakewood Library Needs New Trustee For Board
The Lakewood Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking a new member to fill an unexpired, seven-year term.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Officials are looking for applicants for a vacant seat on the Lakewood Public Library Board of Trustees. The position is an unexpired seven-year term on the board, ending September 12, 2026.
The library's Board of Trustees are responsible for setting policy and long-term goals for the library, overseeing the budget process, promoting and advocating for the library, and overseeing the hiring, salary setting and performance evaluations for the library's director and fiscal officer.
The board meets on the second Thursday of every month, though special meetings may also be called. Trustees must also serve on committees, as appointed by the president of the board.

All trustees serve seven-year terms. Trustees can seek re-appointment at the conclusion of a term. Additional details on the responsibilities and duties of trustees can be found online.
Anyone interested in the vacant position should mail a written letter of interest, and qualifications, to the Superintendent of Lakewood City Schools, 1470 Warren Road, Lakewood. All letters of interest must be received by the superintendent's office on or before December 2, 2019.
