Lakewood Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident

Police said a 37-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle struck a tree.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A 37-year-old Lakewood man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning, according to Parma Heights police.

Michael Patton, 37, was found on Parma Park Boulevard at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses said Patton was riding down the street when an animal ran into the road and he swerved to miss it. Patton then went off the road and hit a tree, a Parma Heights detective told Patch.

Patton was riding his motorcycle with another man who saw the entire incident, the detective said. No one else was hurt in the accident.
