Lakewood Man Recalls Experience During Las Vegas Shooting: 19 News
Cody Kinn, a resident of Lakewood, returned from Las Vegas this week. He told Channel 19 about surviving the Las Vegas shooting.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Cody Kinn, a Lakewood resident, returned from Las Vegas on Tuesday morning. He was one of the lucky survivors of the Las Vegas shooting that killed at least 59 people, and injured 500 more, on Sunday night. Kinn described his experience at the tragedy to Channel 19.
"These three firecracker sounds kind of go off and everyone is looking around, like 'What happened?'" he said. "Then there was a pew pew pew, like a machine gun round. Once that started happening then everyone started freaking out and running."
Kinn and his companion then ran out of the one exits, jumped a fence and hid in a terminal. (Subscribe to the Patch Lakewood newsletter for local news and updates.)

"It was just madness," he said.
He told Channel 19 that he was lucky to be alive and he wasn't sure if the experience had sunk in yet. Watch the full interview with Kinn and other survivors by clicking here.
